Lin Rebolini-McJunkin
“Copper Salmon” , pate de verre glass and steel
As an artist and science educator, Lin utilizes the heat of her commitment, as well as that of kilns and torches, to sculpt recycled glass and metal into work that celebrates and advocates for the health of our planet and its inhabitants.
Using her contemporary version of an ancient Egyptian glass casting technique known as pate de verre, Lin casts large chunks of glass in molds. Light bouncing off the lacy edges of the resulting forms enlivens the pieces. Lin’s work has been exhibited on both coasts, and is held in numerous private and public collections, in the US, Canada, Europe, South Africa and China.
